The Denver Children’s Choir unites the children of greater Denver’s widely diverse communities through rigorous ensemble music instruction. Children of all races, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds come together to sing, study, and perform choral music. Its comprehensive choral music education program brings Denver-area children of all ages together in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
PREMIER CHOIR PROGRAM
The DCC’s Premier Choirs include the Fourteeners (soprano and alto voices) and the Mountain Aires (tenor and bass voices). These accomplished musicians sing a wide variety of musical genres including classical, pop, spirituals, gospel, folk and jazz. Fourteeners and Mountain Aires sing together as Thin Air, an SATB ensemble. Altitude is the DCC’s most advanced ensemble, singing music from all these genres of music, demonstrating strong musical ability and vocal skills, and dedication to the group. Members of Altitude also sing in Fourteeners or Mountain Aires. These advanced ensembles typically tour together nationally or internationally every other year.
- Fourteeners and Mountain Aires: Tuesdays 6-8:30 pm, First Mennonite Church, 430 W. 9th. Ave.
