Please provide your initials below to affirm your agreement to these policies: The Denver Children’s Choir (DCC) is an inclusive, diverse community that requires respect for everyone. My child and I understand and commit to follow these rules: – Absences and Tardiness – My child will attend all rehearsals and performances, and will arrive on time. In the event of illness or family emergency I will contact the conductor of my child’s choir immediately and let them know of the tardiness or absence. More than 2 regular rehearsal absences or late arrivals per semester (4 per year) may result in dismissal from DCC. Any absence or tardiness at a performance or dress rehearsal may result in dismissal from DCC. – Respectful Behavior – My child will be respectful of their fellow singers and DCC staff at all times. My child understands that they are to come to rehearsals and performances prepared and ready to do his/her best. My child understands that he/she should not talk excessively during rehearsal, chew gum, or bring food or drink (other than water) into the rehearsal room. My child will bring their music to each rehearsal and, when asked by the conductor, practice their music at home. My child will not use his/her cell phone during rehearsal, and understand that if they do the conductor will take the phone and I (the parent) will need to retrieve the phone from the conductor after rehearsal. My child and I also understand that if any of the above guidelines are repeatedly not met, he/she may be asked to leave DCC. Grounds for Immediate Dismissal from DCC – My child understands that engaging in any of the following behavior during any DCC activity will result in immediate dismissal from DCC: 1. Possession, consumption, or distribution of alcoholic beverages 2. Possession or distribution of any illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia 3. Arriving at an DCC event under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs 4. Possession or use of any weapons, firearms, fireworks, explosives, or anything that may be construed as a weapon 5. Any behavior that could be construed as bullying, harassment, hazing, or abuse of any kind 6. Smoking, vaping, consumption, or distribution of tobacco or marijuana products 7. Use of inappropriate, racist, sexist, bigoted or profane language 8. Possession or access of any form of pornography 9. Participating in any illegal activity. Mi hijo y yo también entendemos que si alguna de las pautas anteriores no se cumple repetidamente, es posible que se le pida que se retire de DCC. Motivos para el despido inmediato de DCC – Mi hijo entiende que participar en cualquiera de los siguientes comportamientos durante cualquier actividad de DCC resultará en el despido inmediato de DCC: 1. Posesión, consumo o distribución de bebidas alcohólicas 2. Posesión o distribución de cualquier droga ilegal o parafernalia de drogas 3. Llegar a un evento de DCC bajo la influencia de alcohol o drogas ilegales 4. Posesión o uso de cualquier arma, armas de fuego, fuegos artificiales, explosivos o cualquier cosa que pueda interpretarse como un arma 5. Cualquier comportamiento que pueda interpretarse como intimidación, acoso, novatadas o abuso de cualquier tipo 6. Fumar, vapear, consumo o distribución de productos de tabaco o marihuana 7. Uso de lenguaje inapropiado, racista, sexista, intolerante o profano 8. Posesión o acceso de cualquier forma de pornografía 9. Participar en cualquier actividad ilegal.]
