Black Music Matters 2026: LIBERTY

Featured Artists: Spirit of Grace, Theo E.J. Wilson, Suzi Q. Smith, Rex Peoples, Legacy Ensemble, Tenia Nelson Trio, Kid Astronaut, Joseph Lamar, Truth Williams, and more. The 9th annual Black Music Matters concert returns with power, joy, and purpose, centered on this year’s theme: Liberty. Created by Denver gospel trio, Spirit of Grace, in partnership with Vocal Coalition Youth Choirs (VOCO), the concert unites Black artists from across Denver with more than 200 youth singers from metro-area schools for a dynamic night of gospel, blues, hip-hop, and beyond. This year’s mass choir includes choirs from VOCO, Aurora Central High School, Aurora West College Preparatory Academy, Lilly Academy, Montbello High School, North Middle School, and The Denver Waldorf School.
