Please provide your initials below to affirm your agreement to these policies: The Denver Children’s Choir is an inclusive, diverse community that requires respect for everyone. I understand and commit to follow these rules: – Absences and Tardiness – I will arrive on time and attend all rehearsals and performances. In the event of illness or family emergency I will contact the conductor of my choir immediately and let them know of my tardiness or absence. More than 2 rehearsal absences or late arrivals per semester (4 per year) may result in dismissal from DCC. Any absence or tardiness at a performance or dress rehearsal may result in dismissal from DCC. – Respectful Behavior – I will be respectful of my fellow singers and DCC staff at all times. I will come to rehearsals and performances prepared and ready to do my best. I will not talk excessively during rehearsal, chew gum, or bring food or drink (other than water) into the rehearsal room. I will come prepared by bringing my music to each rehearsal and, when asked by my conductor, practicing my music at home. I will not use my cell phone during rehearsal, and understand that if I do my conductor will take my cell phone and my parent will need to retrieve the phone from my conductor after rehearsal. I understand that if any of the above guidelines are repeatedly not met, I may be asked to leave DCC. – Grounds for Immediate Dismissal from DCC – I understand that engaging in any of the following behavior while participating in any DCC activity will result in my immediate dismissal from DCC: 1. Possession, consumption, or distribution of alcoholic beverages 2. Possession or distribution of any illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia 3. Arriving at an DCC event under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs 4. Possession or use of any weapons, firearms, fireworks, explosives, or anything that may be construed as a weapon 5. Any behavior that could be construed as bullying, harassment, hazing, or abuse of any kind 6. Smoking, vaping, consumption, or distribution of tobacco or marijuana products 7. Use of inappropriate, racist, sexist, bigoted or profane language 8. Possession or access of any form of pornography 9. Participating in any illegal activity.
